The Case of a Residence Community in Kunming

Basic information of the community in Kunming--- It is a residential and commercial community, equipped with a kindergarten and a underground garage, a total of 11 buildings including 5 high-rise buildings and 6 multi-storey buildings.

Former Power Supply Planning for the Community The entire community is supplied by low voltage distribution via underground transformer substation, with dual power supply of 10kV;  One for use, the other as a backup; 6 high-voltage switch cabinets; 3 SCB10-800/10 dry type transformers; 23 GCS low-voltage switch cabinets with contact function; the radius of low-voltage power supply is about 200 meters on average, and up to 300 meters. Application of ‘Integrated Planning’ to the community in Kunming The community is still supplied with 10kV of dual-power supply. One for use, the other as a backup; The community is equipped with 1 Chinese-type solid insulator switchyard, 1 Chinese-type cable distribution box with switches, 6 Chinese-type transformer substations including 3 of 630KVA (kilovolt-ampere), 1 of 200KVA, 1 of 500KVA and 1 of 400KVA. The community is supplied by high-voltage sectioned ring power and low-voltage sectioned contact power. The radius of low-voltage power supply is about 50 meters on the average.
